I think one of the most valuable aspects of a First-Year Seminar is the ability to learn from a faculty or staff member who is passionate about a topic. I will always remember a seminar I took while working on my undergraduate degree where we watched and discussed The Twilight Zone. We had deep, interesting discussions that were not only engaging, but made me excited to learn.
