Biography

First-Year Seminars provide new students with a wonderful and unique opportunity to explore topics they may not otherwise get to learn about, which often influences their decision on a major and/or adding a minor or certificate program. In addition, getting to learn with other students and faculty who share their same interests, in a smaller classroom setting, so early in their college career provides students with key foundational experiences and skills they will certainly draw from as they progress through their studies. I would encourage every new first year student to strongly consider taking a First-Year Seminar, if possible. These courses are such a great way to get a strong start in college.
